Square nut or blind nut are used to secure the nut into a square groove.

They provide anti-rotation capability once in place and keep the bolt under tension all the time.

These are often used where access to other side of nut area is not easy. Generally a groove is designed to keep the nut in hold when tightening and loosing.

This product has Zinc Plated surface finish, which is a coating applied for mild corrosion resistance. Zinc Plated fasteners can rust in the right environments, so it should be stored properly to avoid rusting.
